A Journey of Growth and Resilience
A Journey of Growth and Resilience

CGI’s tournament journey began with tough challenges. In their opening match against the dominant Oracle, CGI faced a heavy loss, and the result was a reminder of the experience gap. However, there were bright spots. Annapurna’s standout performance earned her a Star Performer award, and Gayathri’s efforts helped keep the team motivated.

Next, they faced the runners-up, Infosys. The scoreline reflected another tough battle, but despite the losses, CGI’s determination never wavered. It was a clear sign that they were learning and growing from each match.

The turning point came in their clash against DE Shaw—a game that would become the highlight of their campaign. In a fiercely contested battle, CGI fought hard and managed to push the match into a third set—one of only two games in the tournament to go that far. Prashanthi, who earned the Star Performer medal for her outstanding efforts, joined forces with Annapurna, Gayathri, and Deepthi in a spirited attempt to stage a comeback. Their tenacity brought the match to a decider, proving that when the going gets tough, CGI can rise to the occasion. Despite the gallant effort, DE Shaw’s relentless performance eventually won the day.

In their final game against TCS, CGI fell short once again. However, the positives from their tournament journey cannot be overlooked. CGI’s third-set battle against DE Shaw stands as a testament to their fighting spirit and potential. Each match, win or loss, has added to their experience and resolve. As they reflect on these hard-fought encounters, CGI is poised to use these lessons as a stepping stone for a stronger comeback in the next season

team #4

The Team of Flashy Moments
The Team of Flashy Moments

D.E. Shaw had a tournament filled with ups and downs, showing flashes of potential but lacking the consistency to go further. At times, they looked like a team that could challenge the best, and at others, they struggled to keep up. Their performances improved as the tournament went on, but it wasn’t enough to push them higher up the table.

Their campaign started with a tough loss against Infosys, where they never really found their footing. Ishita showed some fight, but the team looked like it needed some more energy to match the intensity of the runners-up. Their second game against TCS was a different story. Gaargi turned the match around with a powerful serving streak, bringing D.E. Shaw back from a slow start. The first set was a tight contest at 15-13, but they couldn’t sustain the momentum and lost the second set 15-10. Still, this was their most energetic performance of the tournament.

Their breakthrough moment came against CGI, where they finally managed to bag a victory for all their hard work on the court. In that match, Sakshi won the Player of the Match award with her great placements, while Jyoti showcased one of the strongest serves of the tournament. Ishita and Gaargi supported well to secure that win. However, their final match against Oracle was a reality check, as they were completely outplayed by the champions.

D.E. Shaw may not have had the dream run they hoped for, but they showed they can fight back when it matters. Their serving strength was a big plus, and their energy in key moments proved they have the foundation of a competitive team. With better coordination and more match experience, they can grow into a side that consistently challenges the best. We look forward to seeing them refine their game and come back stronger in the next season of our tournament.

team #3

The United and Fearless Fighters
The United and Fearless Fighters

TCS came into the tournament with a well-rounded squad, and their performances reflected that. They weren’t a flashy team, but their consistency and teamwork made them a tough opponent to break down. While other teams leaned on individual brilliance, TCS relied on discipline and structure, ensuring they were always in the fight. They had their highs and lows—gritty wins, a hard reality check, and a near-upset against a top team—but through it all, they never lost their composure.

Their campaign kicked off with a strong win against DE Shaw, a game that tested their resilience in the opening set before they found their rhythm. Tejasri’s composed play earned her the Player of the Match award, and the team looked steady heading into their next challenge. Against Oracle, however, they struggled to keep up. The tournament’s most dominant side proved too clinical, leaving TCS searching for answers.

They bounced back in their most intense match of the tournament—a nail-biting clash with Infosys. TCS fought hard to take the first set, with Harika stepping up under pressure to earn a well-deserved Player of the Match award. However, Infosys roared back, overpowering them in the second set and edging past them in the decider. It was a match that could have gone either way, but TCS fell just short. They wrapped up their tournament with a commanding victory over CGI, with Lekhana leading from the front and earning the Player of the Match honor.

TCS proved to be a disciplined and determined side, capable of pushing even the best teams. If they can maintain their structured play while adding more firepower in crucial moments, they have the potential to go even further. We look forward to seeing how they build on this performance and return stronger in the next season of our tournament.

team #2 & Runners up

Overcoming Setbacks, Almost Claiming Glory
Overcoming Setbacks, Almost Claiming Glory

Infosys had a shaky start to the tournament, missing key players in their opening game and some for the entire campaign due to injuries. But they didn’t let setbacks define them. Suma and Smruthi led from the front, delivering medal-winning performances as Infosys cruised to a straight-set victory over DE Shaw, setting the stage for their resurgence.

Their momentum carried into the next two games, starting with a dominant win over CGI, where Suma once again shined as the Star Performer award and Radha’s impact earned her the Player of the Match award. Then came their toughest test against TCS. After dropping the first set, Reshma’s relentless defense kept them alive—diving, lunging, and refusing to let the ball hit the ground—while Suma’s all-round brilliance turned the tide. With Lilly’s pinpoint serves and Deepika’s steady support, they stormed through the second set and clinched the decider, sealing a statement victory. Reshma’s grit earned her the Star Performer award, marking this as the defining match of their campaign.

With confidence at its peak, Infosys entered their final game against Oracle—a de facto title clash. They fought hard, matching Oracle point for point, but the opposition’s well-oiled game-play ultimately proved too strong. Despite the loss, Infosys’ journey was nothing short of remarkable.

Their tournament was one of perseverance, where setbacks were met with determination, and every player stepped up when it mattered. With a little more consistency in high-pressure moments, they have everything it takes to challenge for the title once again. We look forward to seeing them return stronger, ready to fight for the championship in the next season.

team #1 & the champions

Relentless, Flawless, and Unstoppable in Their Quest for Victory
Relentless, Flawless, and Unstoppable in Their Quest for Victory

Oracle came into the tournament like champions and played like champions from start to finish. No fuss, no drama—just pure dominance. They were the only team to win every match in straight sets, a testament to their flawless execution and unwavering team spirit. With different players stepping up in each game, Oracle showcased a complete squad where every individual contributed to their championship run.

Their campaign began with a strong statement against CGI, securing a comfortable win thanks to Suma’s Player of the Match performance. Against TCS, Oracle took teamwork to another level—every player moved in sync, anticipating plays before they even unfolded. Archana was the vocal leader on the court, guiding her team with precision, while Manasa’s sharp placements earned her the Player of the Match award. Lohitha shined as the Star Performer, proving that Oracle had depth in every position. Their momentum continued into the match against D.E. Shaw, a one-sided encounter where Archana once again led from the front (Player of the Match), and Manasa’s consistency (Star Performer) ensured yet another straight-set victory.

Then came the final showdown against Infosys—Oracle’s biggest test. But if there were any nerves, they didn’t show. Their coordination was unmatched, their anticipation a step ahead, and their placements masterful. Infosys fought hard, but Oracle’s structured gameplay and strategic brilliance made the difference. The result? A straight-sets victory to seal their title in style.

This championship run was a masterclass in teamwork, strategy, and execution. Oracle didn’t just win matches—they set the standard for how the game should be played. As they lift the trophy, one thing is certain: if they keep playing at this level, they won’t just be defending their title next season—they’ll be defining it.
